If you will be working any Novice Minor or Novice House this year, either as a new official or as a mentor, please ensure you are familiar with how these games are being run.

Starting with the 2018-19 season, many Novice games across Canada are being run as half-ice games with fixed line changes, and many with two games running simultaneously on the same sheet of ice.

These changes were discussed more in depth at your clinic this year, but we also want to provide you with the detailed changes and some instructional videos so that you can get familiar with the process. There will obviously be a learning curve for all of the officials, coaches, and players involved, so it's important that we are aware of the structure of these games.
